Many people feel this way.
Does this sound familiar?
Worn out by worry that never seems to switch off?
Lying awake at night going over the same conversations?
Feeling distant from the people you love, and not quite like yourself?
The hopeful part?
Things can get easier.
Not overnight, but one step at a time
With the right support, therapy is about more than getting through a hard stretch. You learn practical skills, understand your patterns and build steadiness you can rely on long after sessions end. Here is how working with our team can help.

Welcome to Calmora,
where feeling better isn’t about perfection,
it’s about being human.
Meet our founder - Dr. Elena Marsh
Our aim isn’t to keep you in therapy forever. It’s to help you find your footing, so you can keep moving forward on your own.
Dr. Elena Marsh founded Calmora in Manhattan in 2014 with a simple belief: people do best when care is warm, collaborative and grounded in evidence. Our psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists draw on approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT and EMDR, and shape them around what you actually need.
You can meet with us in person in Manhattan, Brooklyn or Westchester, or by telehealth from New York or New Jersey. Whether you’re looking for individual, couples or family therapy, we’ll meet you where you are.
Who We Are
We’re a group practice of psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists who share one belief: therapy should feel like an honest conversation with someone who understands. Each clinician brings different expertise, and we all work with children, teens, adults, couples and families at a pace that feels right, without judgment or pressure.
A Judgment-Free Space
You don’t have to have it all together to walk through our door. Messy is okay. Mixed feelings are okay. You can say what’s really going on, and we’ll listen without judging, rushing you or telling you how you “should” feel. Just steady understanding and support.
Our Approach to Therapy
We use evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR and psychodynamic therapy, but we tailor them to you. Your care is built around your story, your goals and your pace. Some people want practical tools, some need room to process, and most need a bit of both. We’ll work it out together.

Frequently
Asked Questions
Answers to common questions
Q1: How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed or sense that something needs to change but aren’t sure where to start, therapy can help. You don’t need to have it all figured out first. A free 15-minute consultation is an easy way to talk it through.
Q2: How long is each session?
Most sessions last 50–60 minutes. You and your clinician will decide together how often to meet, usually weekly or every other week, depending on your needs and schedule.
Q3: How much does it cost?
Without insurance, therapy sessions typically range from $150 to $275, depending on the clinician you work with.
Calmora is out-of-network with most insurance plans. Our Care Coordination team can help you check your out-of-network benefits and will provide superbills so you can seek reimbursement. If you’re paying yourself, we’ll give you a Good Faith Estimate before you begin, so there are no surprises about cost.
Q4: Do you offer telehealth sessions?
Yes. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, available to clients located in New York and New Jersey. Many people find telehealth just as helpful and easier to fit into busy weeks.
Q5: What’s your therapeutic approach?
Our clinicians draw on evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, psychodynamic and family systems therapy. Rather than following a manual, we tailor the work to you, your goals and what you need most.
