Using this website

The information on this website is offered for general educational purposes and to help you learn about Calmora Mental Health Counseling and our services. It isn’t medical or psychological advice, and it isn’t a substitute for an assessment by a qualified clinician. Reading this site, sending us a message or booking a free consultation does not by itself create a clinician–client relationship. That relationship begins only once you have completed our intake process and agreed to begin care with one of our clinicians.

Not for emergencies

Calmora is not a crisis service, and messages sent through this website are not monitored around the clock. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Appointments, fees and cancellations

You can request a free 15-minute consultation by phone, email or the forms on this site. After that call, we’ll explain next steps, including intake paperwork, consent forms and our Notice of Privacy Practices, before your first full session.

Session fees are listed on our Fees & insurance page and may be updated from time to time. Self-pay clients receive a Good Faith Estimate before care begins, as required by the No Surprises Act. Calmora is out-of-network with most insurance plans, and we provide superbills on request; any reimbursement depends on your own plan.

We ask for 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Telehealth sessions are available only when you are located in New York or New Jersey at the time of your session, and you agree to join from a private place where you can speak freely.
